Affirmation of the Week
A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart
and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Stress Reduction Tip of the Week
Let go of the myth of perfection. I don’t have to do it all. If I get to it, I do and if I don’t tomorrow is another day. I don’t have to be liked by everyone and I don’t have to accommodate everyone! Put your efforts into changing what you can, and then accept and adjust to that which you can’t. Again, nothing is perfect. You don’t have to be ecstatically happy, just reasonably happy.

Article of the Week - Hooked On The Pain: Exercise Addiction
Everyone touts the benefits of exercise: health, life quality and alertness. However, over-exercising is a form of addiction that is on the rise in gyms and fitness centers.Read Article .... Other articles

Food of the Week - Sweet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes take top honors in vegetables. Their bright orange color tips us off to the carotenoids, phytonutrients which fight free radicals to help prevent cancers and ward off illnesses associated with aging. They are high in vitamins A and C, Potassium and fiber, but low in sodium. Vitamin A helps our eyes see with low light vision and keeps tissues healthy in the mouth, stomach, respiratory and intestinal tract. Vitamin C keeps our immune system strong along with our gums and connective tissues. And sweet potatoes don’t have to be mixed with marshmallows or butter because they taste delicious just plain! One sweet potato is only 120 calories and it is a complex carbohydrate, so it will stay with you longer unlike a regular white potato which is the equivalent of eating sugar and will cause your sugar levels to cycle.
