Question:
I’ve been training for about two years and I am seeing changes all over my body. What I would like to know is what should I expect to happen in terms of fitness benefits? (Garrett, Bayshore)

Answer:
The visual changes you are seeing are proof of the benefits of training and sound nutrition. Other health related benefits are:

  • Changes in body composition- particularly more lean muscle mass and less fat
  • Endurance and stamina in the cardio-respiratory and muscular systems
  • Increased flexibility and noticeable strength gains

Improvements in the skills area can be summed up:
Increased coordination, agility, balance and body to eye reaction time. In your daily life you will be more spry when you get out of a car, able to lift heavy packages from the trunk and react quickly to changes in the pavement, or obstacles that disturb balance. All of these improvements will become a second nature to you.

Continue to enjoy your workouts and keep them consistent. You are destined to improve beyond your wildest imagination
